Land Development Services. VHB is uniquely suited to provide integrated land development services to assist public, private and institutional clients in land planning and engineering. VHB's unique approach to land development brings together skills of land planning, field survey, environmental sciences, traffic, and civil engineering to allow us to perform detailed assessment and analysis of the site's existing natural and infrastructure conditions. From this information, VHB's planners, engineers, scientists, and landscape architects formulate innovative development plans that create opportunities for economic growth, improved quality of life, and environmental betterment.
Site Engineering. VHB designs site improvements including the preparation of contract plans, specifications, and estimates, parking lot design, utilities design including water and sewer distribution systems, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, erosion control design, and design of structural improvements.
Planning Services. VHB provides conceptual and technical planning services to facilitate large-scale, complex, and mixed-use developments. Our projects include community visioning, zoning and design guidelines, master planning for land use/development and municipalities, feasibility and site analyses, downtown revitalization strategies, site planning, and many others. A major goal of VHB's planning services is providing sensitive and responsive development.
Transportation Services. VHB provides complete transportation engineering services from program management and project planning through design, obtaining environmental and project permits, and construction management on all modes of travel. Founded in 1992 with the commitment to provide quality engineering services, Tata & Howard specializes in water and wastewater consulting services. The firm provides strong technical knowledge and personalized collaborative service. Tata & Howard enjoys a reputation for providing clients with cost efficient, innovative solutions while minimizing costs in three ways: establishing a team environment both in-house and with clients; utilizing specialized experience in the field; and maintaining low overhead rates resulting in lower fees. The Tata & Howard staff has extensive experience in development of new water sources, from the exploration and evaluation stage through start-up assistance. The firm also provides a wide range of evaluation, planning, design and construction services related to onsite wastewater treatment and disposal projects for both public and private clients. These services require various permits in accordance with local, state and federal agency requirements Tata & Howard provides assistance to their clients in obtaining the necessary permits.
